Sam Smith, fashion star? After making his first fashion week appearance this February — at Burberry — Smith announced via Instagram that he will soon appear in Balenciaga's fall 2015 menswear campaign. This is the musician’s first collaboration with a fashion label.

It's not every day that someone channels Princess Leia on a magazine cover, but then again, it's not every day that comedian Amy Schumer covers GQ. In the accompanying spread, the star of "Trainwreck" and "Inside Amy Schumer" gets risqué with some of the most iconic characters of "Star Wars," including Chewbacca and C-3PO.

IMG acquires The Wall Group
IMG announced that it has acquired the The Wall Group, a 15-year-old artist management and consulting agency that represents stylists, hairstylists, makeup artists, and other creatives based in New York, Paris, London, Paris and Los Angeles. Kate Moss and more pose for Greenpeace campaign
Kate Moss and sixty other mostly British celebrities, including Naomi Campbell, Sienna Miller and Rita Ora, posed for Greenpeace UK's Save the Arctic campaign wearing t-shirts designed by Vivienne Westwood. Most of the models paired their shirts with jeans which, perhaps not surprisingly, Pamela Anderson opted to do without.

Dov Charney sued for breach of contract
More bad news for Dov Charney: The founder and former CEO of American Apparel is being sued by Standard General, which initially joined forces with Charney in an attempt to regain control of the company in June of last year. The lawsuit claims that Charney has yet to fulfill promises made to the hedge fund and is seeking an injunction to stop his "destructive actions" against the firm.

H&M sales rise 14 percent in June
H&M continues to grow at a steady clip, reporting a 14 percent sales increase for the month of June. The retailer will report its July sales figures on Aug. 17.
